Survival horror / action game Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Mode pits 1-2 players inside a small level, rewarding a high score for surviving long lengths of time and defeating numerous enemies at a time for big combo bonuses. Jill Valentine (BSAA) is unlocked by achieving an A+ on Public Assembly, Stage 1 (40,000 points single-player, 80,000 Co-op). Mercenaries is unlocked by playing through the single-player / co-op campaign mode. Read this RE5 game guide on Jill Valentine for hints, tips, strategies, and more on how to achieve a higher score and unlock characters and stages using Jill BSAA Outfit. Mercs Jill Valentine BSAA EquipmentThe following is a list of all the weapons, equipment, and supplies Jill Valentine carries at the start of the match.
Jill Valentine receives two weapons (handgun, machine gun), flashbangs, some ammunition and a first aid spray. Jill Valentine BSAA RE5 Equipment GuideJill Valentine is an example of the effectiveness of simplicity. She only carries a handgun, a machine gun, and flashbangs, but this focus can work very well on certain stages. Unlike other characters, Jill's machine gun seems to be a good combination of both power and ammunition. Most other characters with machine guns run out of ammo too quickly, but since Jill only has two weapons, she receives frequent ammo drops for the machine gun. Her handgun is unique to Resident Evil 5, since it is only available in Mercenaries Mode. It sports an enormous critical hit ratio for headshots, resulting in frequent, easy kills with the handgun. Flashbangs are one of the most useful grenade types available. They can give the player an easy-out during panic situations, and the flash instantly kills Majini parasites. Jill Valentine's one severe weakness is the inability to effectively take out boss characters. But her equipment is well-suited for taking out many weaker enemies, and she carries a first aid spray just in case. Mercenaries High Score Hints and Tips for Jill Valentine BSAASomething to take note of that isn't an equipment or item feature is Jill's speed. Jill Valentine moves much faster than most other Mercenaries characters, and her melee strikes are also fast. Also, she has a unique stab attack when using the knife, which strikes much faster than any other Mercenaries character. Her speed allows her to pick up time bonuses faster, and to use melee strikes more frequently, and to dodge attacks easier. Jill Valentine works best on stages without enormous boss characaters. She is particularly vulnerable on The Ship stage, as the Chainsaw Majini with blue pants takes an enormous amount of ammunition to down, and even gets back up to absorb even more shots. The Mines is a good stage for Jill. She can navigate through the long tunnel passageways much faster than most other characters, and her machine gun works well against the bug. She's also great on the Experimental Facility, since her extra speed allows her to avoid getting hit by rockets and grenades, and her flashbangs can kill those powerful parasites in a single shot. The Village and Ancient Ruins are also two good levels for Jill, since the boss in both levels isn't as strong as The Executioner or the Chainsaw Majini. Also, keep in mind that Jill's machine gun carries some piercing ability, making it easier to take down enemies with shields. When playing as Jill Valentine BSAA, remember to save any hand grenades, proximity bombs, or environmental hazards like exploding barrels for the boss characters. Her machine gun works well for taking down bosses, but it eats up a huge amount of ammo to pull it off, so any other form of extra damage will help conserve ammunition. Jill Valentine BSAA in Co-op playJill Valentine pairs well with almost any other character on Mercenaries, but she works especially well paired with characters who have a machine gun or handgun (to share ammo), or with a Mercenary that can take out boss characters with ease. Sheva BSAA has a handgun, machine gun, and a rifle, so she can ammo share and has a rifle to take out the boss characters. STARS Chris has a machine gun, and has a magnum to take out boss Majini, though it might be best to ditch his grenade launcher so Jill doesn't accidentally pick up flash rounds (they look similar to machine gun ammo). And, for the sheer firepower alone, either Wesker makes for a great teammate for Jill. If Wesker focuses on taking out the boss characters, Jill does a great job of keeping the combo going. RE5 Mercenaries Jill Valentine BSAA ConclusionWhile Jill Valentine struggles against boss characters, she's fast, adept at taking out many weaker enemies, and keeping the combo going for high point scores. Any player capable of getting around her one weakness will work well with Jill Valentine BSAA. Having trouble with ammunition in Mercenaries?
