Survival horror / action game Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Mode pits 1-2 players inside a small level, rewarding a high score for surviving long lengths of time and defeating numerous enemies at a time for big combo bonuses.

Sheva (Tribal) is unlocked by achieving an A+ on Missile Area, Stage 6 (40,000 points single-player, 80,000 Co-op). Mercenaries is unlocked by playing through the single-player / co-op campaign mode.

The following is a list of all the weapons, equipment, and supplies Sheva Alomar, Tribal Outfit, carries at the start of the match.

Tribal Sheva receives two weapons (Longbow, Grenade Launcher) and 3 of the Incendiary and Flash grenade type.

Tribal Sheva Equipment Guide - Longbow, Grenade Launcher

Tribal Sheva may at first seem like more of a novelty character than a serious competitor, but after a few playthroughs, her potential starts to shine through.

The Longbow deals incredible damage and has infinite ammo, but it takes a second to draw every time for a new shot, and there is no laser-guided aim. At first, the lack of a sight might be a serious drawback, but since it has enough power to kill most common Majini in one arrow, all it takes is one hit, anywhere, to score a kill.

The Grenade Launcher comes equipped with six Nitrogen Rounds, probably the best ammo available for Mercenaries Mode. Nitrogen Rounds freeze enemies instantly, allowing Sheva to get a +5 time bonus for a one-hit-kill melee strike on each frozen enemy. Those time bonuses can add up. A single round could freeze several enemies, resulting in 15-30 extra seconds of playtime.

Mercenaries High Score Hints and Tips

One of the keys to using Tribal Sheva successfully in Mercenaries Mode is learning how to aim without a laser point. Looking at the angle of the arrow can help to determine where the arrow will fly once fired. And, learning how to make minor corrections after firing will make aiming much easier.

After mastering the Longbow, combos should come with relative ease. Each hit will score a kill, and the only things that can interrupt the longbow's rhythm are the following: large mobs of enemies, not enough enemies, and a boss majini.

If Tribal Sheva finds 4+ enemies closing in fast, her best opportunity might be to quickly switch to the Grenade Launcher and freeze them with a Nitrogen blast, or using one of Tribal Sheva's grenades. Since drawing each arrow takes a second, taking on numerous enemies at a time can be difficult without getting grabbed or hit.

As for the tougher opponents, a few arrows will stun most of the big Majini, but killing a stronger opponent before the combo runs out is unlikely. The best way to score points is to shoot enough arrows at a boss until it's stunned, and then shoot 1-2 common majini to keep the combo going, and repeat. Grenades can also help to take out common majini while dealing with a boss and keep the combo going.

Boss Majini are Tribal Sheva's biggest challenge. While learning to use this Mercenary, the player should stick to stages with smaller opponents.

Sheva (Tribal) in Co-op play

Tribal Sheva is one of the best characters to use for Co-op play. If she pitches her Grenade Launcher, Tribal Sheva will not receive any ammo drops, meaning all the ammo drops will go to the other player. However, the Grenade Launcher is a valuable tool for gaining time bonuses, so it's up to the player to decide.

Tribal Sheva pairs well with almost anyone, but she pairs particularly well with characters that can help her out when overwhelmed. Midnight Wesker, Safari Chris, and Chris STARS can all help Tribal Sheva take on boss characters, while Chris BSAA and Jill Valentine BSAA can help when dealing with many opponents at a time.

With the powerful, infinite ammo Longbow and the Grenade Launcher, which can set up some nice time and combo bonuses, Tribal Sheva is one of the strongest characters in Resident Evil 5's Mercenaries Mode.
